Through the kindness of Kathy Chiappetta and Jean McKee, I have photocopies of the BROOKS pages from Donald Lines Jacobus, Families of Ancient New Haven, Vol. 2 (1939), as well as an index to all BROOKS mentions in any volume of the set. I haven't had a chance to go through these in detail, but the coverage seems to include not only New Haven families but the Wallingford/Cheshire line in quite a bit of depth, and apparently any Brooks who passed through the area of study. For instance, Moses Brooks, who lived at Montague, MA, turns out to be born at Wallingford, and he's in here. Jacobus, as has been so often said, was a meticulous researcher whose specialty was Connecticut. Throw out those undocumented Ancestral File fantasies, and get down with D.L.J.! :-) If you are researching CT and would like me to mail you a copy of these pages, please email me offlist with an ALL-CAPS subject line of SEND JACOBUS NEW HAVEN. Don't forget to include your name and mailing address. Thanks, Chris
