My Asa's wife was Elizabeth age 57. With a son Asa age 12. *Asa's Grandfather was John 27 Dec 1728 who married Eunice Darby b 1734/1737..Concord, Middlesex Co., MA. *I am not so sure now that we have the same Asa/Asahel/Ashel. Also look at Ashel II as a possible son b Northville, Fulton Co., NY he had two wives Grace E Cook and Agnes...son Ashel W and 10 more. Ashel II may have been from an early marriage by Ashel before marriage to Betsy. They were in Sarasota Co., NY next to where Ashel II settled in Fulton Co., NY Again I am guessing.........ages fit ... Ancestry.com only shows Asa Brooks b 1761 had 3 children Asa/Ezra/Amos and Asa /Ashel b 9 June 1790 in Halifax, Windham, VT Ezra 1792 & Amos 1793. If this Asa/Ashel is the right one he would be 30 in 1820 - old enough to have fathered Ashel II with a first spouse???
