    3. Caleb Brooks, b 22 Apr 1745, Worcester Co., MA. Does anyone know when or where he died? Does anyone know of children other than those below? Also, is there any information about the 3 children of Caleb and Abigail Bailey? Caleb had 3 wives: 1. Tryphena Hinds, m 13 Mar 1777. I don't know of any children of this marriage. 2. Abigail Bailey, m 27 Jan 1791. 3 children: Orville, b 13 Mar 1795; Romanazaw (?), b 28 Sep 1797; Alphonso, b 20 Jul 1800. 3: Anna Neavens, m 13 Apr 1801. One known child, Betsey, b 14 Nov 1801. There is another possible child, Cinderella Brooks (b abt 1818) but if she really is a child of Caleb and Betsey it is likely that there would have been other children in between. This Cinderella m Harvey Olds in 1841 Anna Neavens m 2) William Collester (date unknown). In 1850 William Collester and wife Ann were living adjacent to the Harvey Olds family in Ware, Hampshire, MA. In 1860 Anna Collester was living with the Harvey Olds family in Ware. That is why I wonder if she was the mother of Cinderella Brooks Olds. I have 16 Mar 1777 as the marriage intention date [Warren, MA VR, 87], meaning that the actual marriage would have been after this date. Tryphena died 24 Aug 1788 [Warren VR, 162, citing her gravestone]. I show one child candidate of this marriage, Betsy, wife of John Strickland, whom I got from you. :-) I have Betsy's DOB as say 1780, which would make Tryphena her mother. >2. Romanzow, b. 28 Apr 1797 [Warren VR, 19] Alphonso wasn't born at Warren, but at Enfield or Greenwich, neither of which towns exist today -- they lie underneath the Quabbin Reservoir. Blake, a careful researcher, in History of Princeton (where Alphonso lived and practiced medicine) gives 30 Jan 1800 as his birthdate. I found the same date on Alphonso's gravestone in Princeton's Woodlawn Cemetery in 1996. >3: Anna Neavens, m 13 Apr 1801. This Cinderella m Harvey Olds in >1841 Okay -- I'll bite. In previous correspondence you had Betsy marrying a Henry Washburn in 1805, which is why I assigned her a say 1780 birth date, which caused me to assign Tryphena Hinds as her mother. But if Betsy only marries once, to John Strickland in 1828, then an 1801 birth date makes sense ... I guess. I'm obviously behind the eight-ball here, research-wise. Or else you're rearranging the puzzle pieces again, Doris. Either way, or both ways, you've lost me. The important thing is that you don't lose you ... :-) >Anna Neavens m 2) William Collester (date unknown). This date *is* known. Warren marriages, 87: Brooks, [Wid. in int.] Anna and William Collester, July 25, 1832. Caleb Brooks obviously died before his widow's remarriage, but I have found no death record. He may have died at Enfield or Greenwich, whose vitals I haven't seen. As a matter of fact, I'm not sure that either town's vitals have ever been published. Sorry to be so slow in responding. Chris
