I just started researching. The earliest ancestor I have is Edward Brogan, born about April 1838 in Donegal, Ireland. He left on the ship "American Union" out of Liverpool and arrived in New York on March 30, 1857. He married Bridget O'Donnell (born about May 1838 in Donegal) in 1858 at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Carbon County, PA. I have seen reports of them living in Eckley, PA, Carbon County, PA, and both allegedly died in Freeland, PA. The pair supposedly had eight children: Anna (b. 1860), Mary Theresa (b. 1861), Patrick Aloysius (b. 1863), William Francis (b. 1866), Bridget (b. 1867), Sarah (b. 1870), James (b. 1876), and Edward Francis (b. 1878). Edward Francis Brogan was born about October 10, 1878 in Buck Mountain, Carbon County, PA. He married Elizabeth Veronica Kolb (born October 1881 in Newark, NJ. I believe her parents were Charles and Catharyn, and of German descent). They eventually ended up in Burlington, NJ where Edward died in 1958 and Elizabeth in 1967. Edward and Elizabeth had three children: Edward Francis (b. 1905), Charles J (b. 1907), and Kathryn Frances (b. 1919). Charles J Brogan was born in 1907 in Burlington, NJ. He married Rose C Mulholland (born about 1916 in Bristol PA to John Mulholland, who is affiliated with a Bristol baseball team, and Sarah Haney) in 1934 in Doylestown, PA. Together they had four children: Charles J Brogan II (b. 1934 d. 2004), Robert W Brogan (b. 1944 d. 1986), John Edward Brogan (b. 1936 d. 2012) and Kathryn. John Edward Brogan is my paternal grandfather, and was married to Shirley Kemble. If anyone has any information on Edward and Bridget's parents or any other members, I would greatly appreciate it.
