He was born in 1822 in Limerick Ireland and was the son of a military man Samuel Brockley who had an English background but was posted in Ireland in 1822. Robert had 3 Brothers: William, Charles and John. Robert was younger. Robert married Jane Bimson/Brinson/Brimson/Dimson. Jane had 11 children including Sahra Ann Brockley who was my Great grandmother: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users.WINDOWS\Desktop\Downloads\I3505 Florence BIMSON (Dec 1891 - ____).mht - born in 1869 and married Alfred Henry Jose in 1893 Bendigo. They had Alice Elsie Jose 1898 who was my grandmother. Sahra Ann died young and the family moved to Western Australia and Alfred remarried and his children went to a Catholic Home, but kept in touch with thier father. Alice married a man who used an Alias: Lane. They had Sylvia 1930 - my Mother. Mum married the son of a English emigrant Alice Ruler and had 4 children. The original Samuel Brockley born ! in the 1700's had sons who all named one of their children Samuel and those Samuel's also named some of their sons Samuel. There were lots of Samuel Brockleys. My ancestor had two sons who could have been your relative: Samuel Brockley 1854 and Arthur Brockley 1871 both of them died in Australia. One died in the war: John Robert Brockley 1867 - 27/11/16 in France. He was Sahra's Brother.
