I have a paper written by Wayne Bittinger in 1988 (over 50 pages) that is now out of print. This is what it says: Henry Broadwater was born September 19, 1818 in Hampshire County, Virginia (now West Virginia). On August 8, 1889, Henry Broadwater of Lonaconing, Maryland, married Adaline A. Metz. a 40-year old widow. Henry was living in Barton, Maryland, in April 1892. A veteran of both the Mexican War and the Civil War, he served in Missouri units in two separate enlistments. After the Civil War, he lived in Illinois until at least June of 1887. In January 1891, he was a resident of Tuscarawas County, Ohio. Henry and his first wife had three sons: Isaac, Albert, and Milton. His first wife was Lizey Ball. There is also a Henry Broadwater that was born January 18, 1817 and died March 3, 1898. He was the son of William Broadwater, Sr. William Broadwater, Sr. was the son of Cornelius and Mary Piper. William married Rebecca Green who was born 7-31-1792 and died 10-18-1854. I don't think this is the Henry you're looking for. William's son Henry married Rachel Ogg.
