    3. This sounds like it can become a real problem, I think these are being tossed around as corporate lost leaders for one reason or the other. Maybe Carol can help with this explaination. Also FTM is the sponser of GenForum. So it looks like one company is going to own every thing. On a side note; too ; I heard (all) genealogy is going to be shut down in Oregon asap, and we will not get into marriage and death certs. I am going to town to get all the death certs I can think of. Matney-Mattingly-Cooper-and any others who ask. I am leaving about 12 lunch time . Let me know if any one wants any thing, 1906=47 Dan ---------- > From: Norma Lewis <norie@localaccess.com> > To: Broadwater <BROADWATER-L@rootsweb.com>; Carol99 <Carol99@aol.com> > Cc: Mattingly-L@rootsweb.com; Matney-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: {not a subscriber} FTM now Mattel > Date: Monday, December 14, 1998 8:45 AM > > I just heard that Mattel has bought The Learning Company who has bought > Broderbund which is Family Tree Maker and they also recently bought > Generations which is another CD genealogy company, in fact, Rootsweb's new > sponsor.
