Jane Matney, believed to be Broadwater Matney's sister, m James Nickels & res Nickelsville, Scott Co, VA, descendants still live there. Book written 1995 by Edwin E Nickels of Blountsville, TN gives 3 or 4 of James & Jane Nickels ch marrying Kilgore at Scott Co, VA. Looks like Broadwater, Kilgore, Nickels & Matney families have ties.
