Most of the sons are in the mercantile business. James lived at the toll gate at the railroad. Waldo & Shade have a store at Long Run. Ralph owns a store close to the Ohio river. Howard owns a store at Oxford, Richie County, close to where Peter Michael now lives. He marrried a Miss Wilson. Only one of his boys are farmers, the others are in stores. The oldest daughter married George Hill."
