Hi Dan, Christy Stevens here. I am researching Jefferson Davis Matney s/o Walter Jefferson Matney s/o Broadwater (s) Matney. Broadwater is my brick wall. I visit your web site (angelfire) regularly and also have subscribed to ONElist. I have visited so many other web sites looking for a Matney link I can't even begin to remember all of the names. Obviously I haven't found one that has a real connection to Broadwater. The one on the Oregon Trail Pioneers was the most helpful. If you need the http, let me know and I will look it up in my files. I'm also still trying to find a link with Cully Farris Matheny. Do you think it is possible for Broadwater's middle initial to have been "S"? Since someone thought the father of Cully Farris might have been called Sims, I wondered if the reference to Broadwaters was just an error for Broadwater S. Would like your input on this.
