Dear Rebecca, Broadwater is a little known name. Not to many of them around in the 1700-1800 that I know of in the Virginia country. . Unusual name as well...seems they shouldn't be so hard to track down ! But............ Your Broadwater came out of Botetourt County, Va to Ohio. My Broadwater also was in Botetourt County, Va and migrated to Ohio . Do you know the parents of your Rebecca ? Seems it is possible we have a kinship here ........
