Hello folks, Apparently we're in for another cycle of virus HOAXES. Please check out the following sites before you post or forward any message about viruses. And then, I would even ask you to send me a message in private so that I can do some checking before it's put out on the list and everyone's mailbox begins to fill up. http://www.av.ibm.com/BreakingNews/HypeAlert/PENPAL/ http://cc.weber.edu/~dsass/articles.html http://www.ncsa.com/virus/ Everyone who posts or forwards messages about viruses means well (except the person who starts them around again), but for the most part they are just old, rehashed versions of false information which should NOT be spread to the lists. Besides--if you do post about one of these hoaxes, you will get lots of mail in your own mailbox from people who tell you it is a hoax--in varying degrees of politeness. I speak from experience! So let's not panic. Just like newspapers, everything you see on the internet--even surname mailing lists--is not true. Please either check it out, or ask me to do so. Thank you for your cooperation.
