Seeking information on BROADHURST line, ancestors of Joseph BROADHURST (b. abt 1750) and Mary CHARLESWORTH (Ashby de la Zouch) Leicestershire. Ancestors probably migrated from another nearby county in England. Joseph and Mary had a son, William BROADHURST (m. Sarah WARDLE), whose son John BROADHURST (m. Mary GRUNDY) had a son James BROADHURST (m. Mary Ann Tracey), b. 1838 in Ashby de la Zouch, who was my great grandfather. I am also seeking information about other children of Joseph and William so that I can trace collateral lines. The ultimate question I am seeking to answer is whether there is any connection to other BROADHURST families that came to Virginia and/or Pennsylvania, in colonial days. Also, since there were many Broadhurst's in the area of Leicestershire and Derby in 1800's, I am trying to get enough information to sort out family connections.
