He would have been my Grt Grandfather x 2. I can say we know little of Daniel. as far as I know the only evidence we have of his existance is his marriage certificate and his name on his childrens birth certificates. It is entirely possible he had brothers and sisters. I will tell you what I know. He married Annie Whittaker in Sep 1879 in Staffordshire. He was of full age and a batchelor. His profession is a Labourer at this time. His Father was Thomas Broadhurst who was a Farmer. In 1880 Daniel and Annie had their first child Annie Elizabeth (my Grt Grandmother). On her birth certificate he is a Farm Bailiff. In 1881 their second child was born John Henry. Daniel is not present on any census with any certainty as far as we know. He disappeared sometime in 1881. By 1891 Annie (his wife) is named as a widow on the census. Sorry if this is too much information. Hope it helps with your research.
