With disappointment I report that I have completed two levels of DNA testing to try to determine connections between various Broadhurst individuals and that no connections were found. I conclude from that there is no link between my Broadhurst ancestry going back to William Broadhurst of Ashby de la Zouch and the William Broadhurst reputed to be the ancestor of the Ohio-Michigan Broadhurst clan. Those of you who show that link in your trees should discard that connection as specious. I am also disappointed with the information provided by the testing company based on the testing, which was close to incomprehensible and singularly unhelpful because it was generic rather than specific. Each question generated a response for fees of hundreds of $$$ more in fees. This appears to be more hype than helpful. I would not bother to do it again.
