I have discovered an Edward Broadhurst, brother of John Broadhurst (my ancestor), son of William B and Sarah Wardle, who would have been alive in 1849 but I do not have a birth or death date, only that John was born in 1799, and he may have been the elder brother, putting Edward's birth in the early 1800's.
