    1. [BROADHURST-L] Broadhurst as a Placename
    2. I received the information below from a medieval geneology researcher: Hi Arthur, Broadhurst is indeed a place name in England. The Broadhurst that the Lewknor family was associated with was located in Sussex. Although I don't have any information regarding Broadhurst, I might suggest looking into the works of the Sussex Archeological Collections which is in many many volumes and should be found at most larger libraries. This periodical was published during much of the 19th century. It is indexed, and it would appear to me that if there were a family named Broadhurst associated with this place name in Sussex, then you would find some information there. As I'm sure you're aware, the surname Broadhurst is probably derived from a place of that name. However, the challange for you will be to determine if this is the only place named Broadhurst in England. My other suggestion would be to check in a gazateer of some sort for England. That will allow you to determine approximately how many places named Broadhurst exist in England. Hope this helps. Has anybody on the list pursued this previously? If so, I'd like to know what information was discovered about this place apparently in Sussex... Art Broadhurst, Vero Beach, Florida
