This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: robinjopmoore Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.broadhurst/309/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Florence J. Lewis, b. 03 Jun 1873 in Pender County, NC was my g-grandmothers sister. She died on Feb. 4, 1917 after her clothing caught fire while she was doing the laundry in a tub in her yard. Her death certificate has her last name as Broodhurst but her husband signed it Broadhurst. My problem is I cannot read his first name. Looks to start with a "J". They weren't married at the time of the 1910 census and I'm not having any luck with the little information I have on finding out what his name is. I'd like to also know if they had any children. He gave his address at the time as Burgaw, NC. Any help appreciated! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. New.familysearch has his name as John C.Broadhurst. The birthdate for Florence matches your information and shows his name as John. Hope this is helpful. Rosemary Hopkins in Flagstaff, AZ.
