I have to put a "disclaimer" on those early, early ancestors in England and Wales, because I have accepted this as a "study line" for future reference. On those, I can only refer you to those who shared their research with me. It is easy to see, information on the Broaddus family is much more forthcoming than that on the Howard, Pennington and Patton families, since I have worked on them just as long and spent just as many hours. I have collected this material over 35 years of study and research, but there are still places that no one is sure about dates, names and other details. I am so grateful to those who have helped me and thanks to all those who have shared with me in the past and who will in the future. They have given me a "place to start" and an incentive to "carry on". It is as nearly correct as I, at this time, am able to discover. If there are "glitches" here and there, I apologize, but genealogy is an ever-moving, on-going study of the past, and new discoveries are made daily, therefore, please don't hold it against me if you have some information I don't....
