Hurst" was the name recorded on immigration docs... Appears that the immigration officer thought his name was Broad Hurst and wrote it as B. Hurst --apparently it stuck.... Behurst is the phonetic version.... Just as the Broadus variant occurred because of the pronounciation of Broadhurst was slurred in a British regional dialect and in US southern English...
