Hello, I've come to a bit of a dead-end. 4 of the 5 surviving TAYLOR brothers went to USA (as far as I can tell)-Children of Barnet and Jane (nee TAYLOR). One appears to have stayed in Leeds. He was still alive in 1954 when his mother died and her will was proven to him. Then it gets much more tricky. This was not a family who believed in announcing anything in the JC. I now have a possible match (plus maybe a wife) and wondered if anyone is going anywhere where they have the probate index and/or to NCVS New Farnley Cemetery in Leeds and would be able to look at the index and/or the headstone and get the information from them. It might help me prove/disprove the link. Abraham TAYLOR died/buried 14 Jan 1967 age 64, residence at death 36 Thorn Lane, Leeds, burial plot A/17/43 Margaert TAYLOR died/buried 23 Jul 1982 age 75, residence at death 36 Thorn Lane, Leeds, burial plot A/17/44. Death reg gives date of birth as 30 Sept 1906. Here's hoping someone is venturing out on this cold & snowy morning. Sherry Landa (Oxford, UK)
