I've found the part of this family (Simon and Bessie and their son Philip) who emigrated from England to Philadelphia in 1904-5. I'm still looking for other members of this particular "Gold" line who may have been in England for Simon and Bessie to join in 1903 when they came to England (from Russia), or who may have stayed in England after they left. Possibly helpful information: 1. Bessie's maiden name, I am told, was Gorudsky or Novagorodsky (she was married when she and Simon came to England in 1903 not long before their son Philip was born there). However, on Philip's birth record the name is listed as "Rebecca Szlatta" - I can't explain this except possibly as a misinterpretation of the "what is your maiden name" question - (zlato/zoloto being the Slavic word for "gold"). 2.
