    1. [BRITISH-JEWRY] SOLOMON and DAVIS family
    2. Barbara Zimmer
    3. I was able to track the DAVIS family through 1901 and have sent the info to Maureen. Charles was shown in the 1861 census with all of his children still at home, and with two children (Amelia and Benjamin) in 1871. Then I found Benjamin married to Harriet in the 1881, 1891 and 1901 censuses. Charles and his son Benjamin were consistently described as furniture dealers. Benjamin's children were named very similarly to his siblings; they included Benjamin, David, Rose, Bessy and Amelia. Could not find any matching death date for Elizabeth Davis who probably died between 1851 and 1861. But I did not search for Bessy or Betty. Barbara Zimmer Virginia "does anyone have any information on Elizabeth Solomon born 1816, daughter of David Halevi Solomon born 1796. She married Charles Davis at The Great Synagogue and they had Rosa, David, Amelia, Dinah, Fanny, John, Sarah, Anna, and Benjamin. I cannot find any evidence of them after the 1851 census. 1. [BRITISH-JEWRY] How to see documents of those entering England in the early 1880’s.
    2. marsha steinberg
    3. I am looking for family members entering England in the 1880’s from where we believe to be Latvia. Their name was Cohen. I am looking for my grandmother Sarah Cohen and her brothers Morris and Aaron. They can be found living in Leeds in the 1891 census. Morris married Esther Friedman and Sarah married Harris Levy in Leeds. The families moved to Boston, Mass around the turn of the century. I am looking for documentation of their entry into the U.K that indicates town of origin. I have been able to document their lives in the US but am unable to prove where they were from. Do any of you know how to see information of their entry to England thanks in advance for any suggestions. Without town name i think I am stuck.
