Does anyone know the spouse of the Joseph Jacobs who had a son called Samuel (born London 1783 died Birmingham 1863) or any other children of Joseph? I don't need any details of Samuel's spouse and family, I have all that. It is his siblings I am particularly interested in and whether any male children had the initial "L" Best wishes and thanks, Becca
Dear Becca, I am one of the many third-great grandgrandsons of Samuel Jacobs. Unfortunately, all I know about Samuel's father is is his given name and, like you, I would love to know more. What is your interest in Joseph and what information do you have about him? I'm trying to find records of my great grandfather who I have been told by my mother was born James Ambrose JACOBS c1849 Lambeth but preferred to be called Ambrose. I have not been able to find a birth in that name but have found an Ambrose Jabez Jacobs born in 1848 Lambeth. Could this be the same person ie is James an anglicised form of Jabez cheers Sheila
