Hi Angie When I was in my teens I used to know an Alf Richman who was a newspaper journalist and part of Labour Prime Minister Harold Wilson's "kitchen cabinet". I think he probably grew up in the East End. I'm afraid beyond that I can be of no help as I cannot remember where in Fleet Street he worked and also he would be about 110 if still around now. My Dad's cousins whose friend he was had no children and so I cannot think of anyone obvious to ask.
