But if you look at the Australian website called Trove, which was mentioned on another British Jewry thread yesterday, you'll find all the details of the death if you enter Miriam Magnus. In one of the articles it mentions who her father was. Miriam Solomon's dates do fit. But that would mean a marriage previous to her marriage to Samuel. (Presumably short lived and childless) It is definitely them- also mentions their oldest son. Several members of the family emigrate at the same time. It explains too, why Kate, Henry, Louis and Saul use the name Solomon(s) on their return to the UK. What became of the other three children I don't know. It may be of interest to Nathan researchers too, as the name of the doctor mentioned is "Dr Nathan" Best wishes Becca (In now sunny Scotland)
