Hi Becca the death was 1857. I only know there was an inquest because the cert was signed by the coroner and labelled 'inquest' under cause of death. I think the files are available in the LMA, as I have done a bit of searching around and found reference to ones that exist. My hope is that there is some indication of what he was doing before his death, given that he no longer lived in London.
