    3. There was no Oct 3 edition that year! Was it Oct 30? If so, do you know the page number? Best wishes, Sherry > > I would be grateful if some kind person who subscribes to the Jewish Chronicle can provide me with a copy of Rachel Phillips’ obituary notice. (JC, Oct 3, 1903).

    3. It doesn't come up in the Index but I found it by searching on Deaths from 1903 and finding the correct (Oct 3rd) edition (albeit dated "null"!) I've sent Terry the info but for some reason no longer seem able to "e-mail for free" - perhaps I exceeded my allocation of e-mails! Terry said someone else from BJ was also going to send him the info, which might be clearer than my transcribed and printscreen version. 3. Sherry It was actually JC, Oct 2 (not 3), 1903 - in the death notices. Danielle Sanderson emailed me a copy of the notice but it was too unclear for me to read. Sue Jacobs has also offered to look up the JC issue for me. If I can't get a legible copy of the death notice, I will email either the State Library of Victoria or the National Library in Canberra and request a copy to be made from the JC on microfilm which they have. I let the list know as soon as I have a legible copy. Best wishes.
