Calling anyone with Bradford connections. Following my trip to Scholemore Cemetery (see www.genpals.com) I am doing a mini-database on Bradford Jews. There is a personal interest and also it was, at one time, quite closely linked with Leeds community. I am looking for anyone with connections/family in Bradford to help flesh the database out. Surnames so far are: AARON, AARONSON, ABELSON, ALEXANDER, ANGEL, ARENSBERG, BERGSON, BERNSTEIN, BEVERSHANSKI, BLOOM, BLUMENTHAL, BRODIE, CHAPMAN, COHEN, COLLISS, COUPLAN, COWAN, DAVIS, DE SOUZA, DRESNER, ELLIS, ENGLANDER, FINKELSTEIN, FREEDMAN, FRIEDMAN, FRIEND, FRIEZE, GERSHON, GITTELSON, GOODMAN, GOTTHEIL, GOTTLIFFE, GREENBERG, GREENBLATT, GRUNTHAL, HAMMEL, HARRIS, HATTER, HYAM, HYMAN, ISAACS, JACOBS, JOEL, JOSEPH, KLINE, KRUGER, LAZARUS, LEVI, LIGHTMAN, LITTENBERG, LUDMAN, MAIZELS, MAYER, MCKENNA, MENDELSOHN, MENDIC, MOSS, NELSON, NEWMAN, PITCHON, POLACK, POLLARD, RECTOR, ROSENBAUM, SAMUEL, SOLBERG, SOLITY, TRIBICH, VICE and WEIDMAN. There are 92 surnames and 260 individuals so you can tell that most names only appear a couple of times. There are 64 marriages. The oldest person is an Abigail COHEN (b.c. 1795). The second youngest is Jeffrey LUDMAN born/died 1922 (the youngest is not named here in case they are still living). I am NOT interested in the details of living people. The aim is to flesh out the families of those who were photographed and to add details of other "old" Bradford families. The scope is therefore limited to 1930.
