    1. Re: [BRITISH-JEWRY] 2nd Saga of Transportation to Australia
    2. It could be this: NATHAN Joseph - Bathurst 6 Oct 1852, Stealing, Bathurst 027 NRS 849 1 2760 (NSW State Records). I also found a record for a Joseph Nathan dated 1841 where he is described as a store-keeper. Another for the census of 1848 where Joseph Nathan is recorded in Launceston - of course there may be more than one Joseph Nathan. You can find the Tasmanian records on the Archives Office of Tasmania. David Puycelsi Subject: Re: [BRITISH-JEWRY] 2nd Saga of Transportation to Australia I have no idea how he got back into prison. They do do a research service at a cost, I don't know if there are any Tasmania trials on line similar to the old bailey where I found Joseph's original one. > Dear Debs > > Is this the one? > > Nathan Joseph transported to Tasmania 26 Oct 1838 on the ship > Coromandel (2) 12 Jun 1838 departed from Sheerness (Archives Office > Tasmania) > > Port Arthur was a horrible place. My gggfather was there in 1832. > ________________________________________________________________________ AOL Email goes Mobile! You can now read your AOL Emails whilst on the move.
