Thank you Angela, the two men you mention in your first reply, Abraham and Samuel, are two of the four brothers that emigrated to Australia in 1854, Henry and Lyons being the other brothers. I believe that all four brothers were born in Krakow between 1826 and 1836 to Jacob Abraham Morwitch and his wife Rachel. Having read both those articles, I can tell you that Samuel and Abraham had a similar financial history out here too.... I have seen both men in the 1851 UK Census. I don't know how to find their entry to Britain though - I would guess it would be somewhere between 1836 (last birth) and 1850 (Directory entry you have provided) These references you provided today are also helpful.
