    2. Dear Ray, I have several entries for the name Jacob Joel on my database. They are from the Old Bailey and the London Gazette. The Old Bailey records are from 1769 and 1788 (ref. t17690510-41 & t17780115-10) and the Gazette for May 1813 (ref 16728). The latter Jacob Joel was living in Newport and was a jeweller, shopkeeper dealer and chapman.
