    3. On 10 Sept "The Times" published a small news item re the proposed new internet archive project, mentioning Britney Spears. I sent a letter to the newspaper, it was not published;I give it below for any further comment from this mailbase. Letters Editor, The Times Sir You report [Sept 10, p23] that Britney Spears' parents gave the same address for church marriage in 1923 , "suggesting they were living together". But this was not uncommon, at least for 19th century marriages known to Jewish genealogists. Two pairs of my great grandparents gave the same address in the East End of London in 1857 and 1871 and likewise my grandparents in 1881; all had the Chief Rabbi's authorisation for marriage in a synagogue, which would not have been given if he suspected immorality. The reason for giving the same address is not known, perhaps to save a fee, or one was lodging there. Bryan Diamond
