More thanks to listers who are assisting me with their comments. I have already emailed the London Metropolitan Archives to see if they hold information on my great-uncle and, if so, whether it is possible for me to order same. Three years ago, when I attempted to get my maternal grandfather's application for naturalisation which he made in 1930, I had to make a special request for it, since it was less than 100 years ago. However, there was no difficulty in obtaining same. He had died - I was his grand-daughter, etc. - being good reasons why I should be allowed to order them.
