Dear all, In the course of my search for Viner/Winer families on the Leeds synagogue site which gives marriages and burials, I have made some very interesting discoveries of the "intertwining" of Leeds families through the section on marriages. This section usually gives the name of the groom and brides fathers and addresses.. Eventually one finds other siblings and their relatives through marriage. In this way I came across a personal family connection about which I had no former imformation. Because I am at home (therefore "glued" to the computer) these days, I am at this site, day-in-day-out. Its a most exciting game, and quite an insite to the Leeds community from the period of mid 1800's up until the end of the 1900's. In Dr.Geoffrey Raisman's book "The Undark Sky",his father reads the old gravestones at Hilltop Cemetery and remembers the people and their circumstances. This site gives me a similar feeling, like "I've been there" ! http://www.jewishgen.org/JCR-UK/Leeds.htm (no password needed) Shabbat shalom, Brenda Habshush,Israel., . .
