Dear Cousins, I have a possible relative named Marks EPSTEIN, who lived for a while in London. The 1901 census shows him living in Whitechapel [address illegible], with the family of Wolf & Kate ROCKSHAR. Children: Betsy, Emmanuel, Martha, Paul & Polly. All born in Russia except Polly b. c1895 in London. Marks is the brother-in-law (Kate's brother). Cabinet maker. b1858 in Russia. And Michail a cousin b1865 Russia. Marks immigrated to America (Holyoke, Massachusett) in 1904. His father is listed in a document as Henry. From the Boston Ship Arrivals: GOLDMAN, Bertha 24 Dec 1916 age 15 Ship: Phila. From: England Dest: Father: Marks EPSTEIN 237 Park St Holyoke. I don't find the ROCKSHAR name in any of the earlier census reports. The actual writing on the census document is hard to read, so it may not even be the correct one. Best, Steve Orlen Tucson Arizona
