The answer might be in Angela's wonderful database - a quick check revealed another child of Menachem Isaacs. Elias Isaacs married Dorothy Jonas in 1844. I cannot find it on my A to Z but Sandys Row is a block from Brushfield St. So I would start with that family to see if you can prove or disprove that they were the right one.
