After a very frustrating day getting my computer clogged up with trying to send photos of the play i was in yesterday, I think , at least, I have struck lucky with Kitty Jacobs, or am I too hopeful? Something might be working today!. I tried out a variety of her name on the 1841 census with Jacobs and Israel as surnames and Kitty and Catherine as first names. Suddenly I found a Kitty Israel aged 22 lving with Betsy Israel aged 7 and 10 Plough Court, St. Clements Dane Westminster. The registration area was Strand. Now Strand was the same registration area for 3 Partridge Court and the area in which she was married in 1843 to Jonah Silver , PROBABLYat the Maiden Lane Synaoggue. Could this Kitty Israel be Kitty Jacobs? Could Betsy be the Betsy Cohen that one of her relatives in 1940 , wrote to my Aunt about. There was a Bess Cohenliving at 48 Smith Street, London East who I was never able to trace at that address. Am I clutching at hairs. Has anyone any otherlines I can e xplore. Thank you all in advance, Louise
