I am writing to ask for some help in tracing living members of a large and long-lost branch of my family tree. I would be delighted and very grateful to hear from any descendants of Boaz NIEWOLSKI who was born in Kolo, Poland in 1851, and died in London in 1940. He married Sprinza Isbitski (also known as Betsy) in the Great Synagogue in Duke Street in 1876 and they had 10 children. He worked as a boot finisher, and for many years he and his family lived at 33 Great Garden Street, Whitechapel, where Betsy also had a chandler's business for a while. They are buried in East Ham cemetery. Boaz Niewolski was my grandfather's older half-brother, and so far as I can tell he was the first person from the Niewolski family to arrive in England. Many of his descendants changed the family name to NEVILLE. Other names that occur through marriages among his descendants are LASSMAN, HENDRICK, LUBIN, ISAACS, BLOOM and LEE If anything here sounds familiar, please contact me privately at natalie.lamb@btinternet.com Kind regards and many thanks, Natalie Lamb (nee Neville) Berkshire, England
