There is a book available in the UK - "London's East End - Life and Traditions", by Jane Cox, Weidenfeld & Nicholson, London 1994.   This book has quite a lot of information, not about our families, rather about the people and the area, and in places describes the various immigrations of Jewish people into the UK. I found that it cleared up for me the queries about when our generations may have arrived in England. They were pre-1800. Any ideas very much appreciated Regards John Meyers
