Dear All I think I have found my grandmother, Freda KOPOVITCH (born Bialystock/) on the 1901 census. (Her surname could be KAPLOVITCH or a million other spellings). She is niece (19) (seems correct) in the family of: Lizzie 34 and Jacob 36 BORTNOSKI with Deborah 16, Lewis 14, Simon 9, Alice 3, Reene 5 months. I have a birth certificate for Simon, stating that his mother's maiden name is YESHERMOFSKY. I have no knowledge of those surnames. I cannot find them on Jewishgen. I cannot seem to trace marriages in this family on the big well-known website. Has anyone any ideas as to what to do next? I know my Grandfather Morris/Moshe Kapovitz had two brothers, Avraham and Meir (from the marriage Auth) but I don't know in which country they were.
