    1. [BRITISH-JEWRY] CHERNOSKY UPDATE

    3. Dear All A few months ago I posted about Jetty/Yetty CHERNOSKY who appears in the 1891 census as a cap maker, aged 24, sister. I have now found that this was Jetty's married name - her maiden name was TISHMAN(sp). The address at the time was 31 Church St, Bethnal Green and there is no mention of Jetty's husband nor of any children that belonged to her. The head of the house was Marks TISHMAN. I've done a bit of searching and the surname was probably CERNAUS/CERNAUSKAS originally. I know that the TISMAN's came from Lithuania. Just wondered if these names sound familiar? Thanks Naomi Ogin Brisbane Searching: BENDEL, BIRK, BRESNARK, BRILLIANT, COVERMAN, DAVIDOVITCH, DECORVICK, FELDMAN, GLASS, GREENBERG, GOLD, GROSSMAN, KATZ, KRAMER, KOSSANSKY, LEBIS, LISEYZNSKI, MANN, MELNICK, NATHAN, OGIN, POLIAKOFF, RABIN/OVITCH, RANDALL, RUBE/INSTEIN, STEIN/STONE, TISMAN/TISHMAN/TIESMAN/TESMAN, WILSON/WOOLFSON
