I have not done a 1st of the month message this month, but there are a few things I need to say: There is an update to http://www.british-jewry.org.uk/1870s%20auths.htm thanks to Susan McPhedran for providing some extra information which spurred me to relook at some entries and find some more data. If you have a provincial authorisation PLEASE submit it. If you have more details on any of the people in the authorisations PLEASE also submit that. I also need to remind you that what you write to list goes into the list archives, for anyone and everyone to view. Please do not post your own private details unless you REALLY want to take that risk. Addresses (beyond city/town), phone numbers etc are activitely discouraged. Pass these on privately, if you need to. Similarly, just to remind you that you can't forward from any other list/source without permission from the original poster. If you want to put two people in touch, then the correct netiquette is NOT to send email addresses or other contact details, even privately, without permission. You MUST ask the person before you start passing on their details (even when any google search will find them). If in doubt, leave it out!
