Hi Steve, I like your logic, but remember for births they can be registered quite a while after the event. Not the same for marriages which are always registered in the quarter they occured (except really rarely if a marriage took place in the last few days of the quarter) or deaths, where you have 5 days and can't bury without the certificate, so have to be quick! So, sometimes you have to look a quarter or two later than the even for the birth registration... Hope you have picked the right certificate...could be an expensive quest, if you have to order too many!
