For those who do not know you CANNOT use automated out of office messages and remain subscribed to this list. It's one of the drawbacks of using your work email for private business (i.e. belonging to lists). In case you don't understand why: Every time an email comes FROM the list, your automated reply goes to EVERYONE on the list (that's more than 250 people). If you do not have the option (or have not set the option) to send the automated response just once to each address, it just keeps happening over and over again. It clogs the archives and annoys the living daylights out of those of us who don't honestly care if you are in or out of your office. If you leave yourself subscribed and put an automated out of office message on, you will be unsubscribed manually by me, with much huffing and puffing, because it is NOT my job to manage your subscriptions for you. You are welcome to resubscribe again when you return to your office (or work out how to switch the automated response off on your email programme). If you want to leave an automated response on whilst away then the correct thing to do is unsubscribe from the list. Thanks for your understanding. Sherry Landa (23170 Viersat, France)
