For information: Wirral Archives Service will be temporarily closed to the public from Saturday 31 May 2008, in order to allow us to relocate into our new state of the art facility in the Cheshire Lines Building, near Hamilton Square station in Birkenhead. Wirral Archives Service will re-open to the public in late summer 2008 and will offer a much improved service with extended opening hours of Monday- Friday 9.30am–4.30pm and Saturday 10am-1pm. Wirral Archives Service will endeavour to answer postal, telephone and email enquiries during this closure period, however response times may be slightly longer than normal owing to potential difficulties in locating material in transit.
