If anyone can help me figure out the Dutch 1851 census please can they contact me OFF-LIST (although these people ended up in UK). To give you a head start: Judah s/o Jacob WARRADIJN (spelled WARRADYN in UK) can be found in 1851 census of Amsterdam with DOB 4 Aug 1824 POB Amsterdam (http://www.dutchjewry.org/search/search.htm) With him are Celine (Sellije) and Elisabeth born 1849 and 1850 respectively. So far, so good (apart from the fact they appear more than once, which is confusing me).... However, where is the mother/wife? There was another daughter (Anna in English so probably Anne in Dutch) born c1852. Judah's wife was Esther Henrietta born abt 1831 Holland (not sure where). Judah died before 23 May 1867 when Esther Henrietta married Mayer BLANCKENSEE of Birmingham. To confuse matters (or possibly keep them tidier) the three girls went on to marry 3 of Mayer's sons! My only thought to Esther Henrietta being "missing" in 1851 Dutch census is that she could be enumerated under her maiden name-so that's why I need an expert to tell me how to find her! All help welcome, but as I say, off-list please. Hope to hear from hoards of you soon, Best wishes, Sherry Landa (23170 Viersat, France)
