United Hebrew Congregation Shadwell Lane Synagogue 151 Shadwell Lane, Leeds, LS17 8DW ...reat grandfather Max (Moredchai) Kassemoff.  I have been told that Max may have been a macher (Yiddish for : a doer) at Belgrave Street shul in Leeds, now no longer in existence, but superseded by Beth Hamedrash Hagadol synagogue (Street Lane).  He died on 10 March 1939.
