Hi, Recently I was told about a relative Bertha Israelson (she married my father's uncle - Chaim Kassemoff) that sailed from UK on March 1908 on the Umbria. She went to stay with a relative in Brooklyn. On the same ship was a certain Lewis Cohen. He was 20, a tailor from Leeds, a Russian Jew, had no money, had been to US in 1907. His father was Mr M Cohen of Leeds and he went to his cousin J Israelson at Brooklyn, NY. (different address from the above relative) How can I find out about Lewis Cohen? Regards Angie Israel Searching: RAYKH-ZELIGMAN/RICHMAN, Stakliskes, Lithuania/Leeds COHEN, Sakiai, Lithuania/Leeds MAGIDOWITZ, Jurbarkas, Lithuania/Leeds KASSIMOFF, Rezekne, Latvia/Leeds
You do the usual U.S. census, WWI draft, naturalization, etc. searches. Hopefully, you belong to one of the popular sites. Jackye Sullins Admin. How can I find out about Lewis Cohen? Regards Angie Israel
