Emanuel Warner was reported by The Era travelling to New York for four successive years in the 1890's. In 1902 I find him in the Ellis Island records and in 1906 he is again arriving at Ellis Island saying he is "going home". The American papers report that "Manny" Warner (who was a theatrical agent and tied up with Cissy Loftus and Metro Opera) was not in the USA much after 1906. I wonder if the fact that he went through Ellis Island indicates he had immigrated or taken out citizenship and where do I look for the records? I cannot find a marriage or death for him in the UK although his passenger listing says he was married. Ann Jensen

Have you looked in the US census returns for 1900, 1910, 1920, 1930? I can check them if you don't have access to them. Do you have a date of birth for him?
